From Plastic Waste to Chemicals - Anellotech’ s Plas-TCat® Distillate Enters the Market

Anellotech announces the commercial availability of Plas-TCat® Distillate, an aromatic-rich, low-carbon

liquid produced entirely from mixed post-consumer plastic waste at the company’s TCat-8® semi-

commercial facility in Silsbee, Texas.

As a small co-product of Plas-TCat’s main BTX product, there will be about 100-liters/month scale

quantities of Distillate available for specialty market applications in the 4th quarter of 2025.

What is Plas-TCat Distillate?

• 100 % waste-plastic origin – made from waste polyethylene, polypropylene, PET, polystyrene,

polycarbonate, and nylon

• Aromatic-rich (C9–C20) – indene, naphthalene, methyl-naphthalenes, and larger multi-ring species

• Contains C10–C20 paraffins and olefins suitable for downstream upgrading

• Significantly lower life-cycle carbon intensity than fossil-based alternatives

Target Applications – from Semi-Commercial and future full-scale commercial units:

1.) Specialty chemical feedstocks – dyes, resins, solvents, detergents

2.) Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) – hydrotreatment converts the stream to a candidate SAF blendstock;

ongoing ASTM ballot WK93288 seeks to qualify waste-plastic-derived oils for Jet-A blending

3.) Circular aromatics – enabling closed-loop routes back to plastics and performance chemicals
